DOS GATEWAY Command
The DOS GATEWAY Command is used to temporarily exit to DOS,
then return to EVSbug332 without the necessity of reloading the
EVSbug332 monitor program.
Following invocation of the DOS GATEWAY, a new COMMAND.COM is
executed, providing you with a new DOS "shell". EVSbug332 remains
in memory, awaiting reactivation.
Please notice that closure of the gateway does NOT restore the
previous state of DOS environment variables that you may have
changed while working in the Gateway. Sorry, that's how DOS works.
Note also, that any program which leaves code resident in memory
will surely crash EVSbug332. Those programs must be run BEFORE you
execute EVSbug332. A particularly insidious problem occurs when you
run the PRINT command in a Gateway. If this is the first execution
of PRINT, it loads a memory resident program which remains in
memory when the Gateway closes, crashing the EVSbug332 program.
